With the 21st pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Jalen Reagor, wide receiver from Texas Christian University. Whether you agree or disagree with the pick, Reagor is the newest member of the Philadelphia Eagles. Jalen Reagor To Shine with Philadelphia Eagles?
Jalen Reagor could be a weapon on special teams in addition to his offensive role with the Eagles: https://t.co/J7tOjAdaIf

The Eagles were clearly missing one thing on offense in 2019-2020, speed. Of course, DeSean Jackson got hurt and rookie Miles Sanders was terrific but the Eagles were, even when healthy, slow on the offensive side of the football without Jackson. Howie Roseman and the Eagles front office made that clear in the NFL Draft, as they selected Jalen Reagor in the first round and many other speed-based weapons throughout the draft. As BleedingGreen’s Brandon Lee Gowton says, Reagor could easily see touches on special teams as well in year one. There is no doubt he will be one of the features of the offense, but there is still only one football. The Eagles will be sure to get Miles Sanders, a healthy DeSean Jackson, Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, and even Alshon Jeffery (assuming all are on the team in Week 1), touches. This explains why Reagor is behind 10 others (tied with 2) on the odds list at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Philadelphia Eagles NFL Rookie of the Year History
The Philadelphia Eagles have never had an Associated Press NFL Rookie of the Year winner. With that said, some have taken some other ROY honors.
- Charle Young, Tight End (Pro Football Weekly 1973)
- Paul McFadden, Kicker (United Press International 1984)
- Keith Jackson, Tight End (Sporting News 1988)
History does not bode well for the Eagles in terms of winning ROY awards, but there have been some very impressive rookie seasons from Eagles players. In 1985, Reggie White notched 13 sacks and 100 tackles but did not win the honors. In addition, Steve Van Buren, Eric Allen, and other Eagles players have had terrific rookie seasons. Can Jalen Reagor end the drought and bring home the award for the Philadelphia Eagles’ trophy case? The Eagles needed a receiver, now it is time to see what the young man can do.
