Here we go yo, here we go yo, we are finally getting online sports betting in PA yo!

I know it’s cheezy, but this is a long time coming for PA sports bettors. When the first retail sportsbook opened in November 2018, most assumed that online/mobile sports betting would immediately follow. Almost 6 months later, we now know that the wait for PA online sports betting is about to end.

An official with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has stated that online sports betting apps could go live in 2-3 weeks. Director of Communications Doug Harbach was quoted by Penn Live as saying online betting apps will go up for testing before the end of April.

“I really believe that within the next two to three weeks, we will see the first of the sports wagering internet sites go up for testing,” Harbach said. Assuming no major glitches, the sites should be given the green light from there.

Which PA Sports Betting App Will Be First?

As you can see above, we have conducted a highly official Twitter poll looking for the answer. Here is your list of PA Sportsbooks who could b first to market with an online sportsbook or mobile betting app:

1. FanDuel Sportsbook PA via Valley Forge Casino and Resort
2. SugarHouse Sportsbook
3. Rivers Sportsbook
4. Parx Sportsbook

Lets keep it simple, SugarHouse and Rivers would launch the same betting app with different logos. Both sportsbooks are owned by Rush Street Gaming and could quickly go live with a proven sports betting app from the NJ Sports Betting market. FanDuel is obviusly ready to go as well, just don’t expect the app to be labeled FanDuel due to PA skin regs on the license holder.

That leaves Parx Sportsbook as the unproven sportsbook app that could launch soon. Rumors have been swirling for 2 months that Parx was ready to launch their sports betting app in April or May.
