Online Casino Games in PA Bring in $55.9M in August
The majority of the online casino gaming revenue comes from table games and slots, as it always does. Here is a look at the breakdown:
Gaming Type | August Revenue |
Online Casino Slots | $39,630,603 |
Online Casino Table Games | $13,572,723 |
Online Poker | $2,729,199 |
Total | $55,932,525 |
With a slight increase over July numbers, it is great to see growth for the PA online casinos given the revenue that comes in for the state at a much-needed time. The only casino game type that went down from July was online poker, decreasing from $2.9M to $2.7M. Looking at slots and table games showing an increase means that even with sports beginning to return, the popularity is there for those who wish to gamble online. September numbers will be interesting to see with professional football returning.

PA Sports Betting Revenue Eclipses $18M in August
More is on the way, as September is around the corner for PA sportsbooks. In August, PA had $18.2M in revenue, which is a great sign as sports are returning amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Seeing nearly $20M in revenue before football season is great news for the Keystone State, as September 2020 is set to be a record if expectations are true. With the NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, US Open, NFL returning, and the beginning of the college football season, the September 2020 numbers are expected to be massive.
Pennsylvania did $364.98M in betting handle for August, resulting in over $18 in taxable revenue for the state. This was over a 125% increase from July numbers, and September 2020 are expected to be larger.
