Sixers Betting

For the first time in a long time, the city of Philadelphia is extremely excited about the 76ers. Yes, the process has begun to show its worth in the last few seasons but this season the expectations have been met with reality as the Sixers have won well over 70% of their games and are one of the top favorites to win the NBA Championship.

What comes with a good product is TV ratings. Nationally, some NBA analysts are worried about the drop in viewership and ratings in the NBA for the 2019-2020 season. Regionally, the Sixers are thriving.

Is that only due to the team being talented and successful in the early going? Likely, but keep in mind the content for pre and post game for Sixers games has become betting-savvy, lining up with the launch of PA sports betting.

Either way, the ratings are up on NBC Sports Philadelphia which is great news for the team and the city.

Sixers Viewership On Pace for Best Season Ever

Per NBC Universal’s spokeswoman Maureen Quilter, the Sixers are on pace to have its highest-rated season in quite some time on NBC Sports Philadelphia. At this point last season compared to this season, Quilter says the viewership is up nearly 40%. That is insane, and great for the NBA in Philadelphia.

Through the NBC Sports Philadelphia app, over 170,000 unique devices have streamed the Sixers. This is also on pace to be a record, from the first 20 games.

It’s not just the games themselves, the Sixers pre and post game shows have shown incredible growth as well.

Take a look at this information from Quilter:

NBC Sports Philadelphia Sixers BetCast

Sixers NBC Sports BetCast was designed to improve engagement with Sixers fans and bettors alike, which may be one reason the ratings have been so high.

NBC Sports BetCast is hosted by Marc Farzetta and sports betting analyst Brad Feinberg, and “The Cuz” Anthony Gargano from local radio station 97.5 The Fanatic.

The trio discusses in-game betting, odds, and how to bet the Sixers (or against them!) with an in-game feel. The show is an interesting take on the Sixers, as it includes real-time data and graphics to enhance the experience along with Farzetta, Feinberg, and Gargano’s analysis.
